As a Consultant-in-Training (CIT) through EMDRIA, I offer EMDR certification consultations at a reduced rate in alignment with EMDRIA’s guidelines. This ensures accessibility for clinicians working toward certification while still receiving high-quality, trauma-informed support.
My other consultation services (e.g., for complex trauma, narcissistic abuse, KAP integration) draw from a broader clinical framework, advanced certifications, and years of specialization in those areas. These sessions include deeper case conceptualization and systems-based consultation beyond the EMDRIA framework, which is reflected in the pricing.
If you’re unsure which consultation type is the best fit, I’m happy to help clarify!
-
EMDR consultation is a collaborative space for EMDR-trained therapists to grow their skills, strengthen fidelity to the 8-phase model, and receive support navigating stuck points, adaptations, and complex trauma cases.
-
Consultation is not clinical supervision. While supervision typically addresses legal, ethical, and licensure oversight, EMDR consultation is focused on clinical skill-building and fidelity to the EMDR model. It is a peer-oriented, growth-focused relationship.
-
A CIT is an EMDR Certified Therapist pursuing EMDRIA Consultant status. CITs are authorized to provide up to 15 of the 20 hours required for EMDR certification. The remaining 5 hours must be completed with an EMDRIA-Approved Consultant.
-
To become EMDR Certified, EMDRIA requires 20 consultation hours:
10 hours must be individual
The remaining 10 can be group or individual
Up to 15 hours can be with a Consultant-in-Training (CIT)
At least 5 hours must be with an EMDRIA-Approved Consultant
-
Yes. I offer:
Individual consultation for personalized support
Group consultation (usually 3–6 participants) for collaborative learning, case exploration, and fidelity discussion
-
Yes. Prior to your first consultation session, you’ll receive a contract outlining the expectations, scope of services, confidentiality limits, and EMDRIA requirements for certification hours. This ensures clarity and protects the integrity of our work together. You'll need to review and sign it before your first session can be confirmed.
-
At this time, EMDR consultation for certification is only available to clinicians who have completed both Part 1 and Part 2 of an EMDRIA-Approved Basic Training. If you’re still in training or considering EMDR for the future, I’m happy to connect you with resources or offer general trauma consultation instead. Just reach out!
